Student Struggles Through Artistic Expression

“Given the current climate, students are struggling to survive in an environment that is making it harder for us to either gain access into the university or be retained once we make the achievement.  In addition, we continue to face budget cuts year after year that only make our tuition rise and our student resources drop. Starting in 2010 students are now paying more into the UC system than the state of California! SHAME! We want to grant students a space where they can express their struggles and frustrations about the state and nation’s decision to divest from our education.

We will be hosting 2 competitions: one for individuals that submit physical art and the other is for student performers. First place winners will receive $150, second place winners will receive $100, and third place winners will receive $50.
