Hi everyone! My name is Nwadiuto (DT) Amajoyi and I am a fourth year double major in Psychology and Literature from College Nine. I am originally from Nigeria but now currently reside in Rancho Cucamonga (yes, I am a SoCal kid =P!). Words cannot express just how excited I am to be working for and with such an amazing student body such as our own. I strongly believe that what sets UC Santa Cruz apart from all the other universities aside from our daily dosage of Pocahontas inspired beauty on campus, of course, is the fact that we have a student body that is not only dedicated towards the enrichment of thought and the growth of consciousness but one that does so unapologetically. UCSC breeds leadership in such a way that not only allows us to challenge ourselves but the governing systems as well. We are a brilliant people and an innovative generation that is more than capable of bringing about change and revolution.

This next year is a very crucial one as our University faces greater threats to access, affordability, diversity, retention and quality within the UC system. This is a year that has the potential to change all of our lives and the lives of those that follow. The question now is what will we do, what will you do to bring about affective change? I am eager to rise to this challenge, and I hope you are as well. Again, I am very excited and extremely humbled to embark upon this journey with you all as the 2012-2013 SUA Chair!
